The following comments were written by full paying guests who rented kayaks from us or participated in our guided day tours. July 2009: We booked our entire trip to Alaska through Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks. They helped arrange accommodations before and after out time in the backcountry, boat transportation to the upper bay, gear rentals, etc. It was my first time in a sea kayak, and their orientation put me at ease. Thanks again for all your help in making our trip memorable. --Brian Fuchs, Canada August 2009: I just wanted to thank you for a very memorable 6 hour kayak trip. My guide pointed out so many things. I felt like I truly experienced Alaska in a personal way which I would not have experienced otherwise. I always felt that I was secure and safe with my guide. I would recommend your guided kayak trips to anyone and already have to my friends and acquaintances. Thank you for a great day and an exciting adventure! --Suzy Coletti August 2008: Just wanted to thank everyone for the great full day kayak trip we took with you guys on August 9th. BJ took very good care of us and it was a memorable day. She did a good job of training us two rookies and making sure we didn’t get into trouble. Showing us people from the lower 48 the wonders of Alaska is much appreciated....keep up the good work. --Jack and Kevin Kopenski, Michigan May 2008: Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks is a tremendous resource that will enable you to visit up-close a side of Glacier Bay that you would otherwise only see from afar. I have used them several times for individual rentals and group excursions and I was uniformly pleased with every aspect of their assistance. Their equipment is dependable and well-suited to kayak travel in the bay, whether you are going on a short day-paddle or a multi-week trip. Their personnel are knowledgeable, responsive, and accommodating, even going so far as to help arrange other travel needs. No matter the length of your stay, the level of your experience, the number of your travelers, or the size of your ambition, Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks can make a great trip even better. --Tom Joyce, Winnetka, Illinois. July 2004: I’m just writing to say a very big thank you to all at Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks for all the trouble you went to on our behalf. We are the group of four Europeans who used your kayaks from June 14th until June 29th. Thanks for helping us to plan the trip, making reservations etc. for us, and a big thank you to Katie for our very thorough and comprehensive briefing. Thanks also to the amazing cast of wildlife, including: the black bear at Reid; the numerous grizzlies; the abundant humpbacks; the moose that swam right across the middle of McBride Inlet right next to us; the howling wolves of McBride; the frequent tame bald eagles; the two pairs of killer whales; the sea lions, seals, and porpoise; not forgetting the rufous hummingbirds; and then there were the long-tailed jaegers and ptarmigan; the list goes on and on, but you already know that, of course! --Rick Abbott, England July 2004: We just returned from out kayak trip to Glacier Bay and it was another memorable one. This trip was special for me as I was able to show my two boys what Alaska is about. I wanted to say thank you for everything. Please give our special thanks to Katie, she took the time to answer any and all questions we had and did it with her special smile. She was great and it was a pleasure. I hope to see you all again next year. Again, thanks so much for everything! --Ron, Pete and Jacob Bombard, Connecticut |
